Since 2010, High Altitude Tumbling has been Provo's trusted choice for gymnastics, trampoline, and tumbling classes. Named the Best Gymnastics/Cheer winner by the Daily Herald in 2024, our 23,000 square-foot facility provides a safe, fun, and character-building environment where children ages 2-18 develop skills that go far beyond the mat.
We started High Altitude Tumbling because we love kids. We know how important it is for them to exercise their bodies and enjoy doing it. When it's fun, everybody wants in!
Serving families throughout Utah Valley - Provo, Orem, Spanish Fork, Springville, and beyond.
At High Altitude Tumbling, success isn't measured by flips and tricks alone. Our mission centers on three foundational pillars that shape confident, capable, and resilient young people.
We develop your athlete's character by actively engaging and challenging them while setting clear goals and expectations. Through structured gymnastics training at our Provo facility, children learn discipline, perseverance, and teamwork - essential life skills that extend far beyond our gym walls. Our experienced coaches create a supportive environment where hard work is celebrated, mistakes become learning opportunities, and every child discovers their inner strength.
Character development happens when we push athletes to try something they thought was impossible. When a nervous 5-year-old finally conquers that forward roll, or a teenager nails a back handspring after months of practice, they're not just learning gymnastics - they're building the foundation for a lifetime of resilience.
We build your athlete's confidence by teaching the best and safest techniques - resulting in a very successful experience. Our certified instructors use proven progression systems that break complex skills into achievable steps. This approach ensures every child experiences regular success, building the self-assurance to tackle bigger challenges both in gymnastics and in life.
Confidence grows with every milestone reached. In our small class sizes with individualized attention, each athlete receives the encouragement and technical guidance they need to progress safely. From toddler gymnastics classes through competitive team training, we celebrate every achievement - because we know that believing "I can do it" changes everything.
We inspire change in your athlete by showing them the benefits of hard work and dedication. Through consistent practice and goal-setting, children at High Altitude Tumbling learn that effort creates results. These are life-long skills that make all the difference - in school, in future careers, and in personal relationships.
The transformation we witness daily goes beyond physical abilities. Shy children become confident performers. Energetic kids learn focus and control. Students who struggle with persistence discover their determination. Parents consistently tell us they see positive changes at home and school after their children join our gymnastics programs. That's the kind of impact we're passionate about creating.
High Altitude Tumbling was founded in October 2010 by two families united by a shared passion for youth development and gymnastics: Colbie & Ryan DeJesus and Connie & Dave Collier. What began as a specialized trampoline and tumbling gym quickly grew as Utah Valley families discovered a place where their children could thrive.
In those early years, we focused exclusively on what we knew best - trampoline and tumbling. But as our students' needs evolved and our reputation spread throughout Provo and surrounding communities, we listened. We added All-Star Cheer programs to serve the growing number of cheerleaders seeking tumbling training. Then we expanded further, incorporating comprehensive Men's & Women's Gymnastics to provide well-rounded athletic development.
Our commitment to improvement led us to relocate to our current 23,000 square-foot facility at 2813 S. Sierra Vista Way in Provo. This state-of-the-art space was designed with your family in mind:
We're honored that our dedication to quality instruction and positive athlete development has been recognized by the community we serve. Being named the 2024 Best Gymnastics/Cheer winner by the Daily Herald reflects the trust Utah Valley families place in us - and we don't take that responsibility lightly.
Over 14 years, we've taught thousands of children their first cartwheels, helped competitive athletes reach regional and national competitions, and watched countless students discover abilities they never knew they had. From the two-year-old taking their first Tiny Tumblers class to the teenager perfecting their back tuck, every athlete at High Altitude Tumbling receives the same commitment: professional instruction, genuine encouragement, and a fun environment where they want to come back week after week.
We're constantly seeking to improve your experience here at High Altitude Tumbling. Whether that means adding new equipment, refining our curriculum, training our coaches in the latest techniques, or simply greeting you with a smile when you walk through our doors - we're dedicated to being the best gymnastics gym in Provo.
We look forward to seeing you in the gym and being part of your child's journey toward confidence, character, and achievement.
We know choosing the right gymnastics program for your child is an important decision. Here are answers to the questions we hear most often from parents in Provo and throughout Utah Valley.
High Altitude Tumbling welcomes children from ages 2 through 18+ across all our programs:
Tiny Tumblers (Ages 2-5): Our youngest athletes start in age-appropriate classes designed specifically for toddlers and preschoolers. We offer separate 30-minute classes for 2-3 year olds and 45-minute classes for 3-5 year olds, focusing on basic motor skills, coordination, and introducing gymnastics fundamentals in a nurturing environment.
Youth Gymnastics, Trampoline & Tumbling (Ages 5+): Once children reach age 5, they can participate in our 60-minute or 75-minute classes covering comprehensive gymnastics skills (floor, beam, vault, bars) or specialized trampoline and tumbling programs.
Teen & Competitive Programs: We offer advanced classes and competitive team opportunities for older athletes, including All-Star Cheer and competitive gymnastics teams that travel to competitions.
Specialty Classes: Our floor tumbling specialty classes serve athletes of all ages, including dancers, cheerleaders, and action sports enthusiasts looking to improve their skills.
Not sure which class is right for your child? We offer a free trial class so you can experience our program firsthand before committing. Call us at 801-319-8978 or use our online registration system to schedule your trial.
We maintain small class sizes to ensure every child receives personalized attention and quality instruction. Our student-to-coach ratios vary by age group and class type:
Tiny Tumblers: Our youngest athletes receive the most individualized attention with smaller ratios appropriate for toddlers and preschoolers who need patient, hands-on guidance.
Youth Classes: School-age children are grouped in manageable class sizes where coaches can observe each athlete's form, provide corrections, and ensure safe progression through skills.
Advanced & Team Classes: As athletes advance, they continue receiving dedicated coaching while benefiting from the motivation and camaraderie of training alongside peers at similar skill levels.
We prioritize quality over quantity. You'll never find overcrowded classes at High Altitude Tumbling where children wait in long lines or miss out on coaching attention. Every athlete matters, and our staffing reflects that commitment.
Advancement at High Altitude Tumbling is based on skill mastery and readiness, not just age or time spent in a class. Our coaches use clear skill progressions for each level:
Skill-Based Evaluation: Your child's coach continuously assesses their mastery of required skills for their current level. When they consistently demonstrate the strength, technique, and confidence needed for the next level, their coach will recommend advancement.
Individual Pacing: Every child develops at their own pace, and that's perfectly okay. Some athletes progress quickly while others need more time to build confidence and refine technique. We never rush advancement - solid foundations prevent injuries and lead to long-term success.
Communication with Parents: Our coaches maintain open communication about your child's progress. During regular parent viewing opportunities and periodic evaluations, you'll understand exactly where your athlete stands and what skills they're working toward.
Trial Period in New Level: When your child moves to a new class level, we monitor their adjustment to ensure they're appropriately challenged but not overwhelmed.
Our goal is sustainable progress where athletes feel successful and motivated. Proper placement means your child is challenged enough to grow but not so overwhelmed that they become discouraged.
Yes! We understand that illness, family vacations, and schedule conflicts happen. High Altitude Tumbling offers flexible make-up class options:
Make-Up Class Policy: When your child misses their regularly scheduled class, you can arrange for them to attend a different class during the same week (or the following week, depending on availability) at a comparable level. This ensures they don't fall behind and get the full value of their monthly tuition.
How to Schedule: Contact our front office at 801-319-8978 or speak with your coach to coordinate make-up class scheduling. We'll help you find an appropriate time slot that works with your family's schedule.
Advance Notice Appreciated: While we understand last-minute absences occur, providing advance notice when possible helps us manage class sizes and ensures the best experience for all athletes.
Holiday Closures: Please note that the gym is closed for specific holidays and breaks throughout the year (Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Break, Spring Break, etc.). Your monthly tuition accounts for these planned closures, so make-up classes are not offered for gym closure dates. Our annual calendar is available on our website and at the front desk.
We want to make it as easy as possible for your child to stay engaged and progressing in their gymnastics journey, even when life gets busy.

Yes! High Altitude Tumbling offers competitive team opportunities for athletes who want to take their skills to the next level:
All-Star Cheer Teams: Our All-Star Cheer program provides competitive cheerleading opportunities for dedicated athletes. Team members train multiple times per week, learn advanced tumbling and stunting skills, and compete at regional and national competitions throughout the year.
Competitive Gymnastics Teams: We field competitive gymnastics teams for athletes showing exceptional skill, dedication, and competitive drive. Team gymnasts train intensively and represent High Altitude Tumbling at gymnastics competitions against other clubs.
Team Tryouts & Requirements: Competitive team placement is by coach invitation or evaluation. Athletes interested in team opportunities should speak with their current coach about their goals. Team commitment includes:
Recreational Programs: Not every child wants to compete, and that's perfectly fine! Our recreational gymnastics and tumbling programs provide excellent skill development, physical fitness, and confidence-building without the competitive commitment. The majority of our athletes thrive in our recreational classes and enjoy the sport at their own pace.
Specialty Teams for Cross-Training: Many of our specialty class students come from competitive dance teams, cheer squads, or other sports and use our tumbling training to enhance their primary sport.
Whether your child dreams of competing at high levels or simply wants to flip and play while building confidence, High Altitude Tumbling has a program that fits. Our coaches will help you determine the best path for your athlete's goals and abilities.
